This is another popular photo spot in Hokkaido with a simple but mystic view. The road is called "Road to the Heaven" (天に続く道 / Ten ni Tsuzuku Michi), since it runs straight until the horizon and looks like going up to the sky.
The observation deck for this road is located in Shari Town, on the way to Shiretoko from Kitami and Abashiri. When you head there from Kitami or Abashiri, you actually drive on this straight road.
So you will look back the road you took from the deck and it feels absolutely amazing !
