Can you see the bubbles caught up in the layer of ice? Abraham Lake in Canada became a popular destination thanks to these bubbles making their way on social media, but we have them in Lake Nukabira in Hokkaido too!
I got to see them during a snowshoeing tour on the lake to see an abandoned bridge (click for the blog post). You can find them by just visiting the lake without a tour. I went there in March when thick snow was covering the surface of the lake, so we could only see them from the section of the ice layers.
